Our Story

Something Sweet Custom Cakes & Treats is a home-based bakeshop opened by Anna & Monique Barvir-Boone in March 2022. Anna is a self-taught baker and cake decorator, who has been baking up delicious desserts for her friends, co-workers, and neighbors for as long as she can remember. But Anna really discovered her talent for baking and honed her craft during the pandemic lockdowns of 2020. Together with Monique, her wife of 14 years, she is now bringing her beautiful desserts to you!

At Something Sweet, we believe in the value of homemade, handcrafted quality baked goods. Not only do they warm the home, but our desserts will surely warm your heart as well.

We value locally sourced, fresh ingredients made into traditional recipes that taste and look amazing. We like to keep it simple and emphasize flavor over flash. But don't get us wrong, our cakes and treats look just as good as they taste!
